MORE THAN RIDING – Kids

With local children we work on our finca according to the Angie Course program. An Angie class aims to help children learn how horses become their friends. The course includes elements of Tellington body and ground work and elements of Connected Riding, as well as theory around the horse and clicker training.

We have great joy to see the progress of our Angie children and to notice that the horses also benefit from this contact. Unfortunately, our groups are all full already. We also organize regular children’s days at our finca, so that other children also have the opportunity to enter into a relationship with horses in a mindful way.

There is also the possibility to book individual lessons for children, which we are happy to offer depending on capacity. With a minimum of 3 children, a “Angie intensive courses” can be booked on request.

CONTENT OF THE RIDING COURSE

Valuing the horse as a co-teacher: In these courses, the horse is recognized and valued as a co-teacher, emphasizing the importance of the horse in the learning experience.
Stress reduction and confidence building: Using TTouch relieves stress on a physical level, which creates a better learning environment. In addition, students learn what it takes to build a trusting relationship.
Learning through encounter: The encounter with the horse, both in ground work and body work, serves as a mirror of interpersonal encounters. Here, topics such as closeness, distance, self-efficacy and setting and experiencing boundaries are addressed and practiced.
